That's fine and all, but for the fact that humans rarely survive a trip to Feyland, a kiss from a fairy generally means death to the human unless that human has fairy blood in them or is very strong, and although Kian seemed to be her intended, he seems to hate her and wants her dead.
My Thoughts
I was really excited to read this book, for many reasons. One, it's about faeries, and they're my absolute favourite paranormal creature to read about, and two, because I had only read glowing reviews about it. So, on Christmas morning when I found it waiting for me on my Kindle, I was so happy. Now that I've read it, I can almost see why the reviews I read were all glowing. Almost.
Firstly, it was very short. I managed to read it in about 3 and half hours, and being only 235 pages, it did feel a little rushed in places. Because of this, I did feel as though I was missing out on something, something that Kailin Gow could have added to make the story flow better and not feel as rushed.
Secondly, I had a few little problems with Breena. I have problems with books if I have problems with the main characters, because I have to read through their eyes. But they were only little problems, so I could look over them while I was reading. Breena came across as a little bit whiny, and once she realised she actually was a faery princess, she became just a little bit full of herself. When she was being attacked by some fey creature, she'd cry, 'I'm the faery princess of the Summer court! You can't take me away!' or something along those lines, and it was in those moments that I just felt that she was being a little unreasonable, and just because she's who she is, doesn't mean that she could demand everything and expect it to be done. Also, her relationship with Kian, was very sudden. Even though they supposedly had known each other forever, Breena begins the book by hating him when he kidnaps her, and then suddenly they're in love? I was a little bit confused there.
Talking of Kian. He wasn't the perfect love interest in the book, I much prefered Logan, Breena's friend from the mortal world. He risks his life to save Breena, and he's just sweet and nice, and there are certain scenes in the beginning of the book that just make you go, 'awwwww'. I'm not saying that Kian isn't nice and risks his life for her, because he does, but Logan is just the man I'd rather have risk his life for me. That's all.
Overall, it was a good read, but very quick. I did enjoy reading it, if I didn't, I wouldn't have read it straight through in one sitting. It just wasn't the best book I've read about faeries recently. I will definitely be buying the next in the series though, and I would recommend it if you needed a good quick read. But not if you wanted something that's going to make you think, and make you want to read it again.

I happen to LOVE reading about faeries, as well! :D I had no idea Bitter Frost was about faeries. But you're right - if I can't connect with the main character, I'm going to have issues with the book. Anyway, great review! :D
