Book Blogger Hop #15 and Follow Friday #10

Book Blogger Hop

What are you reading now and why are you reading it?

My answer: I'm reading Angel by LA Weatherly, because my friend wouldn't shut up about it :L But, she was right to go on about how good it was, it is awesome! I'm also reading The Vespertine by Saundra Mitchell, which I got as an e-book from NetGalley, but because I have to read it on the computer, I can only read a little bit of it at a time otherwise my eyes go funny. It's good though =]

What is the book you are currently 'pushing'?

My answer: I've never heard the term 'pushing' before... Anyway, at the moment, I'm trying to get all my friends to read The Iron King by Julie Kagawa, because it just came out in the UK and now they can get it from Waterstones, and don't have to go online to get it. Which is cheaper and easier... So anyway, I'm trying to get them to read that, but they won't! It's tragic... :L

What's happened this week at Cheezyfeet Books?

Leave a comment, and a link to your blogs =]

  3. Hi Bella! I'm reading two books: Middlemarch by George Eliot and Delirium by Lauren Oliver. I've been reading a few chapters of Middlemarch between lighter reads, and have nearly finished. I've been reading this for months now; it'll be weird when I reach the end.

  4. I've actually just started the iron daughter lol I read the iron king a while ago and loved it, and I've read winters passage to

And here's a cheeky link to my own blog then

  9. I've heard a few people mention The Vespertine. I take it, it must be good?

  10. Hopping by to say hi and wish you a great weekend! I love the cover of Angel! I have not heard of it before, but will be checking it out now!

  11. Good answer! The answer on my book blog is a little embarassing; it’s a book that’s been sitting on my TBR pile for a year.

To my shame, I only opened the book because I remember it contained an Amazon gift card.

All the sordid details on my book blog –

    Hop on over!

  12. I just finished The Iron King yesterday, and I really liked it. I knew I didn't want to start it until The Iron Queen was out because I really hate getting into something then having to wait for the next installment.

The Vespertine in next on my list, hope you enjoy.

  13. Hopping through. I loved Iron King! The Vespertine was pretty good too.
    My Hop

  14. I've been meaning to read The Iron King for a while now... seems like I blinked my eyes and now suddenly, it's a trilogy!

  15. Just hopping by on my first blog hop :) I just got back into the world of reading and need all the suggestions I can get.

I'm reading Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs. A friend of mine suggested I read her Mercy Thompson series, and I absolutely loved it. So I assumed her Alpha and Omega series would be just as good, and it most definitely is. Briggs is my new favorite author.

I'm currently pushing Good Omens: The Life and Times of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Neil Gaimen & Terry Prachett. I picked up this book for my dad at a little eclectic book shop, and he absolutely loved it. I'm reading this one next.

Although I don't have many reviews yet, check out my blog. I'm desperate for followers!

    Have a nice day!

#readFreshers: BACK TO CAMPUS

Hey guys! Welcome to my stop on the Freshers blog tour. This book is hilarious and so much fun and I'm so excited to have Tom and Lucy on the blog today!

Here's Tom and Lucy's offering for today!
As soon as we started writing FRESHERS, we knew we wanted to go back to York university.  We spent three years there between 2001-2004 (Lucy) and 2002-2005 (Tom), and we knew that if we wanted to write a realistic campus novel, we had to go back to the campus we'd once called home. So, back in February 2016, we did. Here's a photo of Lucy reminiscing outside the big central hall building (which features quite a bit in FRESHERS).

While we were on campus, we managed to sneak into our old corridors and have a look around, and it was comforting (and horrifying) to find out that students today are still as gross as we were back in 2001/2002. The corridors were sticky and smelly, and the kitchens were basically pasta-sauce-spattered bomb sites. We also spoke to as many genuine …

On her first day back at school, bracing herself for the stares and whispers, Juniper borrows Camie's handbag for luck - and discovers an unsent break-up letter inside. It's mysteriously addressed to 'You' and dated July 4th - the day of Camie's accident. Desperate to learn the identity of Camie's secret love, Juniper starts to investigate.
