In My Mailbox #24

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. :)

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (US Hardback)
I'm really excited to read this, but it is SO creepy looking! Thanks to Quirk Books for this one!

Everlasting by Alyson Noel (UK Paperback)
I probably won't read this one, because I haven't read any of the first five books in the Evermore series and I've heard that they're not very good, and besides, I don't have any time to read them, so I might be putting this one up on ReadItSwapIt :) If you want to swap, let me know (UK)! Thanks to MacMillan anyway!

Forbidden by Jana Oliver (UK Paperback)
YAY!! I ADORED the first book in this series, Forsaken, so I can't wait to read this one! I'm interested to see where the story will take me! :) Thanks to MacMillan for this one too!

Delirium by Lauren Oliver (New UK Paperback)
I read this back in April, but it turned up on my doorstep on Saturday, and it's the new UK paperback version. I have to say, I don't like the cover much but the book itself is AWESOME so I don't mind too much and it's nice to have my own copy! Thanks to Hodder for this!

The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4)

The Iron Knight by Julia Kagawa (e-Galley) *GIANT SQUEE AND HAPPY DANCE*
Oh my word, I was SO HAPPY when I got the email saying I'd been accepted for this! :D I CANNOT WAIT TO READ IT. The Iron Fey is one of my favourite series EVER so I'm so looking forward to reading this! Thanks SO MUCH to NetGalley and HarlequinTeen for giving me access to this one! :D

The Elder Wand from The Noble Collection (From Elle at The Book Memoirs) *SQUEE*
This is AMAZING. I won this in The Book Memoir's Harry Potter week, and I couldn't believe it! It's a full size wooden replica, and it's so pretty! It's in a beautiful box too - so a HUGE THANK YOU to Elle for this! :D

Blood Red Road by Moira Young postcard
This was sent to me by Vicki from ComaCalm's Corner, so thank you Vicki! :D It's super pretty :)

  1. Great haul this week! That Delirium cover is interesting. (As in why did they have to change it. It was beautiful!)

  2. So many great books! I'm still waiting on The Iron Knight, but I'm so excited for it! It's meant to be awesome. I also really want to read Delirium, and Forbidden because I loved the first one too! Everlasting has a nice cover - I've read the first book in the series and thought it was okay but never got to read the rest unfortunately. Happy reading :).

  3. Great mailbox! I've really been wanting to read Forsaken and Forbidden! I hope you enjoy all of these!

  4. Awesome books you got this week. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children looks really good. Hope you enjoy reading all your books.

  5. The girl on the Delirium cover really freaks me out. She is super scary looking.

Book Review: Insight by Jamie Magee

Title: Insight Author: Jamie Magee Series: Insight #1 Pages: 314 Date of UK Publications: July 20th 2010 Source: Received free for a blog tour/event Synopsis from Goodreads: Before that fateful summer night, Willow had balanced the insight of emotion, and the vivid images. That night, the figure in her nightmare marked her wrist with a star, giving her father no choice but to tell Willow a family secret that would abruptly change life, as she knew it, forever. Before Willow had time to absorb the shock of her father's secret, her soul mate that had shared every stunning dream with her, found her, and darkness captured her closest friends. In order to save them, she must weave through broken myths and the undeniable power of the Zodiac. In the end, Willow discovers that at the moment of our birth we are all given a divine gift. My Thoughts: Insight was a good book. The plot was well thought out, and the characters were complex and real. It was a strong debut novel,
