Impromptu Read-a-thon! :D

Amber from Down the Rabbit Hole is hosting an Impromptu Read-a-thon! I've never taken part in a read-a-thon before, but I've always wanted to, and as far as I know I have nothing planned for the rest of today and tomorrow, so I thought I'd give it a go!

I'll be starting today at 2 (or earlier, it depends) and I'll finish around the same time tomorrow, so it'll probably be around 24 hours... These are the books I hope to get read!

Dark Inside
Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts - I'm on page 168 and have about 190 pages left, so I hope to finish this!

Vanish (Firelight, #2)

Vanish by Sophie Jordan - 304 pages - this isn't very long so I'd like to finish this!

Ashes

Ashes by Ilsa J Bick - 480 pages - I'd like to make a dent in this one, at least 50 pages :) I doubt I'll finish it though ;)

So these are my goals, do you think I can do it? Wish me luck! Are you taking part? Leave me a link to your post below, or let me know what you want to read! :D

  1. Dark Inside and Vanish look amazing, Ashes however... I've read it and the first half is pretty good, the second is awful. :/

*I am no longer accepting blog awards :( I do not have time to go through all the things that come with it, and though I'm honoured you thought of me, I'm sure you can find someone who will love it, and be able to carry out the rules :)

Book Blogger Hop #10 and Follow Friday #5

It's Friday again, so time for the Book Blogger Hop and the Follow Friday! What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?  My answer: I didn't really enjoy Fallen by Lauren Kate very much, and I'm not sure why, I just didn't. Anyway, I wasn't really sure how to post my review, but I ended up saying why I didn't like it, but also all the parts I thought were good. I always try and post my honest opinion, and if I didn't like a particular book, I will try and say so in the nicest way possible, saying what the good bits were too. Because a book can't be all bad, can it?  What do you do besides reading/reviewing as a hobby? My answer: Although reading takes up a lot of my time, I do do other things... I play the flute, and am currently on Grade 6 so that takes up a lot of my time too... And apart from reading and reviewing on my blog, I don't really do much else. I listen to a ...

Book Blogger Hop #4

It's that time again, for the Book Blogger Hop, hosted by Jennifer at Crazy For Books! It gives bloggers a chance to hop around and find some awesome new blogs to follow! I frequently find new books that I need to read, and it's a great way to make new friends! Click the link above to sign up! =] Where is your favourite place to read? Curled up on the sofa, in bed, in the garden? My answer: My favourite place to read is in the corner of our corner sofa in the living room, when my brother is playing the Xbox, because then, I can block out the sounds of him blowing things up and just get lost in a book. I can't read there though if the TV's on, as I'll just end up watching the programme instead! I also like reading in bed, but sometimes I'll find myself drifting off, so I don't read there very often! Book Blogger Hop #7 and Follow Friday #2

It's Friday again, and tome for the Book Blogger Hop and the Follow Friday. First up, the Book Blogger Hop. If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title? My answer: Yes, definitely. I don't like reading books out of order, as I get confused, and if I've read book 3 without reading book 1, I'll end up muddling myself up, and not enjoy reading them. I can't start in the middle of the series, it just feels wrong. I always start at the beginning of the series, and work my way through all the books, in order. Also, I don't like being spoiled, so if I read the second book first, I'll know what's coming after the first one before I read it, and where's the fun in that?  What is your usual monthly book budget? My answer: Hmm... I'm not really sure. Depends what books I want, and how long it takes to read them, and stuff like that. Usually, I get through about 8 books a month, so howeve...
