Hey everyone, just thought I'd write a little post about what I'm going to be doing hopefully throughout the whole month of November. I'm taking part in NaNoWriMo, which stands for National Novel Writing Month. The aim of it is that during the month of November, you should try to write a 50,000 word novel. Sounds crazy, right? I know, I know, but everyone else was doing it, and I've had an idea floating around in my head for a little while so I decided to give it a go. I've never written anything before, and I hate creative writing in school, but I thought I may as well try, and see what happens :) I have no idea how long I will last, but I'm hoping I will win! Winning is just finishing, managing to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days!
But, if you are a young person, like me, you can sign up for the Young Writer's Programme. This is exactly the same as NaNoWriMo, but instead of writing 50,000 words, you can choose your goal, and make it shorter if you want to. I've signed up for both, and have set my goal on the YWP as 30,000 words, but I also have an account on the main site to see if I can do that too. So, wish me luck you guys, and let me know in the comments if you're taking part and what your username is, so I can add you to my buddy list! ReplyDeleteGood luck, Bella! It's amazing that so many people do NaNoWriMo! I'm not much of a writer and I am terribly lacking in imagination, so I don't think I could ever do this! But maybe someday!
