Synopsis from Goodreads: The thrilling conclusion to #1 bestselling Shiver trilogy from Maggie Stiefvater

then.

When Sam met Grace, he was a wolf and she was a girl. Eventually he found a way to become a boy, and their love moved from a curious distance to the intense closeness of shared lives.

now.

That should have been the end of their story. But Grace was not meant to stay human. Now she is the wolf. And the wolves of Mercy Falls are about to be killed in one final, spectacular hunt.

forever.

Sam would do anything for Grace. But can one boy and one love really change a hostile, predatory world? The past, the present, and the future are about to collide in one pure moment - a moment of death or life, farewell or forever.

My Thoughts:
Forever is the last book in the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, and it's a perfect ending. It was so great to return to Grace and Sam's world and finally try to work out what the cure is for the werewolf curse or disease, whatever you want to call it ;) The characters feel like old friends and the plot was once again awesomely written and exciting.

I'm not going to say too much plotwise, in case I spoil the other books in the series, but read on with caution if you haven't read Shiver or Linger. Basically, Forever is about Sam and Cole trying to find a cure for the werewolf curse/disease/virus, all the while trying to stop a wolf hunt from being made legal in Mercy Falls. It doesn't sound like much to base a book around, but with Grace and Sam's romance, and Cole and Isabel's relationship, there was plenty to excite me and keep me entertained.

I love Grace and Sam to pieces. They are one of the cutest couples ever, though I do think that Grace is a little too dependent on Sam, but whatever, I don't care. They are so in love and Maggie's writing makes it so obvious, but she manages wonderfully not to make it sappy or wet. It was perfect.

Something that really stood out for me though in this book was Cole and Isabel's relationship. An on again, off again couple, I could never keep up with whether they were together or not. Cole is SO cute though, there were a few times when what he does for Isabel is the nicest thing that could possibly happen, and my opinion of him changed completely throughout the course of the book. At the beginning he was annoying and arrogant, and at the end, he was loyal and loving and oh so nice.

I think this shall just be a short review - there's not much to say about Forever that hasn't already been said. It's the perfect ending to an amazing series, and it's one that I'm sure I'll reread in the future. I adore Maggie's writing, and I'll be sure to read anything else that she publishes in the future. If you loved the first two books, Forever will definitely not disappoint, and if you haven't read them, why not?! Go read them, because they are AMAZING. :D
