Book Blogger Hop #12 and Follow Friday #7

It's the first week of 2011, and the Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday are back! The first Hop of the New Year has begun =]

Book Blogger Hop
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer at Crazy For Books.

What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?

My answer: Well, no book has really changed my life... I suppose, and I'm not shamed to say it, that Twilight by Stephenie Meyer sort of influenced my life, because when I first read it, it inspired me to read more, and because I read Twilight, I've discovered so many more great books, full of awesome characters and exciting plots. It's not that I didn't read before that, because I did, but not as much. So, in that way, Twilight influenced me, but didn't really change my life... But then again, if I hadn't read it, I wouldn't have made this blog, and wouldn't have met all you awesome people out there! So I'm glad I did. =]

What book(s) have you discovered lately from someone's book blog?

My answer: Ooh, there are so many answers to that question... I've been reading people's 2011 Debut Author Challenge posts, and finding all the books on their lists, and so now I've got some great books to buy that are by debut authors this year, and I'm so excited to read them! There are too many books and blogs to list though :L

  1. Well at least you're not ashamed to admit it! My book goes back a couple more years when I read it in 2001! Oh lord, that was 10 years ago?!

    Here's my Hop

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  2. here's mine

  3. Hi, I'm stopping by from FF. I am an old follower =D

Me too. If not for Twilight I wouldn't have read such amazing series and I just have to thank Meyer for creating Twilight =D

    Check out my: FF post

  4. New GFC Follower

So which book do will you read first?

Aleetha - It's All About Books

  5. I have a similar answer to yours. Although, Twilight did actually get me to read because I read very rarely before I read Twilight. :)

  6. Stopping by from the Blog Hop - new follower!

I had the same answer for the book that influenced me and for the same reasons! LOL! You know what they say about great minds!

  7. This will probably come of something as a surprise but the book that changed/influenced my life (more than any other) is a non-fiction book. I know we all focus on novels and the fanciful fiction we love to read but The Four Work Week is the book that gets all the credit. I know the title sounds fictional but it really isn’t. Hop over to my blog and find out why –

    Happy Book Blogger Hop Day!

    Howard A. Sherman

  8. i think everyone has been influenced my twilight in some way or form! My answer would have to be harry potter! i love that darn series!

  13. I chose Twilight, too! It was one of the first books where I interacted with others, complete strangers, on various plot points. It brought in a whole new element to reading.

  14. I can agree Twilight did start me really getting into reading. Nice blog by the way! I'm new a follower

Book Review: Insight by Jamie Magee

Title: Insight Author: Jamie Magee Series: Insight #1 Pages: 314 Date of UK Publications: July 20th 2010 Source: Received free for a blog tour/event Synopsis from Goodreads: Before that fateful summer night, Willow had balanced the insight of emotion, and the vivid images. That night, the figure in her nightmare marked her wrist with a star, giving her father no choice but to tell Willow a family secret that would abruptly change life, as she knew it, forever. Before Willow had time to absorb the shock of her father's secret, her soul mate that had shared every stunning dream with her, found her, and darkness captured her closest friends. In order to save them, she must weave through broken myths and the undeniable power of the Zodiac. In the end, Willow discovers that at the moment of our birth we are all given a divine gift. My Thoughts: Insight was a good book. The plot was well thought out, and the characters were complex and real. It was a strong debut novel,
